Works, unlike any other pest products, because its active ingredient is boric acid and because it's medium is "the preferred food" of the targeted pest. While other products may contain boric acid, if the queen detects the sudden death of any workers, she will not eat and will move the nest.
Bushwacker® products work slowly. They are undetected by the queen, thus allowing for a through ingestion of the product throughout the nest.
Also, Bushwacker® "food" does not spoil, an important feature since fire ants and many other insects will not eat spoiled food.
